General Shipping Information
Furniture of California delivers to residential and commercial addresses within the continental United States (48 states).
We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO addresses, or P.O. Boxes.
Certain areas that are remote, restricted-access, or inaccessible to standard delivery trucks may require alternative delivery arrangements and additional fees. If additional charges are required, we will contact you for approval before shipping your order.
If you are aware of any delivery restrictions — including stairs, elevators, gate codes, COI requirements, limited access hours, or special entry instructions — you must notify us at the time of ordering. Failure to provide accurate delivery information may result in redelivery or additional carrier charges.
Remote Areas & Service Limitations
Some rural or hard-to-access locations may fall outside standard carrier service areas. In these cases:

Shipping Charges & Options
We offer multiple delivery service levels depending on the product and your location.
Basic Shipping (Orders over $299 – Free Shipping)
Orders under $299: Flat rate $9.99
This service includes:
Delivery to the front entrance, porch, or ground-level threshold
No unpacking
No assembly
No packaging removal
No scheduled appointment for small parcel items
Appointment scheduling for large freight items only
Signature may not be required for small parcel deliveries
Customer is responsible for moving items inside the residence and completing assembly.
In-Room Delivery (Starting at $69)
A two-person delivery team will place the packaged furniture in the room of your choice.
Includes:
Delivery inside the residence
Up to two flights of stairs
Delivery appointment scheduling
Phone and email contact from carrier
Delivery notification prior to arrival
Signature required upon delivery
Does NOT include:
Unboxing
Assembly
Packaging removal
Customers must retain packaging materials if a return may be requested.
In-Room Delivery + Assembly (Starting at $149)
A professional delivery team will deliver and assemble qualifying furniture.
Includes:
Appointment scheduling
Inside placement in room of choice
Unpacking
Assembly
Up to two flights of stairs

Important Notes:
Packaging is not removed from the property
Delivery teams do not install wall-mounted or permanent fixtures
Anti-tip hardware, wall mounting, mirrors, lighting, or artwork installation are not provided
Additional delivery trips may require extra charges
Customers should keep packaging if considering a return.
Processing & Delivery Timeframes
Estimated processing and shipping times:
In-stock items: approximately 2–5 business days processing
Parcel deliveries: approximately 1–7 business days transit
Freight (LTL) deliveries: approximately 2–3 weeks transit
Backordered items: ship once available from manufacturer
All delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Delayed Delivery / Holding Orders
If you cannot accept delivery during a certain time period, you must notify us before the order ships.
After shipment:

Carrier holding fees
Redelivery fees
may apply and are the responsibility of the customer.
If the carrier cannot contact the customer or delivery cannot be completed within 30 days, the shipment may be returned and treated as a return, including applicable fees.
Delivery Methods
Freight Delivery (LTL – Large Furniture)
Large furniture items ship through freight carriers.
Delivery includes:
Scheduled delivery appointment
Threshold delivery (first dry area of home)
Signature required
Carriers are not required to move items upstairs, into apartments, or through tight spaces unless upgraded service is purchased.
Customer must:
Be present at delivery
Inspect items before signing
Note any damage on the delivery receipt
Failure to note visible damage may void claims.
If the carrier cannot reach the customer within 15 days, the shipment may be returned and return shipping and storage fees will apply.
Parcel / Doorstep Delivery (Small Items)
Smaller items ship via standard parcel carriers (FedEx/UPS or similar).
Includes:
Delivery to doorstep or building entrance
No appointment scheduling
No assembly
No signature may be required
Customer is responsible for:
Bringing items inside
Assembly
Monitoring tracking information
Inspection & Damage Responsibility
Upon delivery, customers must inspect packages immediately.
If damage is found:
Note damage on the delivery receipt
Take photos of packaging and product

Customer Responsibility

We are not responsible for items that cannot fit inside the home or business.

Furniture of California is committed to ensuring your satisfaction. This policy outlines returns, refunds, replacements, and damaged item procedures.
1. Return Window
Customers may request a return within 30 days of delivery.
All returns require email authorization from Furniture of California before shipping items back.
To start a return, email contact@FurnitureofCalifornia.com with your order number and reason for return to receive a Return Authorization.
2. Eligible Items
Returns are accepted for items that are:
Unused and unassembled
In original packaging
In resellable condition
Free from scratches, stains, odors, pet hair, or damage
Non-returnable items:
Mattresses, pillows, throws, rugs, bedding
Cups, placemats, and dining accessories
Clearance or Final Sale items
Custom or special orders
Items that cannot fit through doorways or staircases are non-returnable.
3. Return Fees
Approved returns are subject to:
20% restocking fee
Original shipping/delivery fees (non-refundable)
Return shipping costs
Refused deliveries for reasons other than damage are treated as buyer’s remorse returns and are subject to the same fees.
4. Refunds
Refunds will be issued in store credit for the returned amount, minus any fees.
Returns are inspected within 72 hours of arrival at our warehouse.
Store credit is issued within 5 business days after inspection.
Shipping, delivery, and assembly fees are non-refundable once services are provided.
5. Damaged or Defective Items
Inspect your items at delivery. If damaged or defective:
Note “Damaged Upon Arrival” on delivery paperwork
Take photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label
Email contact@FurnitureofCalifornia.com within 48 hours of delivery
Furniture of California will provide:
Replacement parts
Repair service
Product replacement
Partial refund
Discount to keep the item
We cover damage caused in transit, but not damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper assembly.
6. Replacement & Repair
Repairable items may be fixed by a qualified technician at no cost.
Items deemed irreparable will be replaced or credited.
Minor cosmetic issues may qualify for a partial “Keep-As-Is” credit.
7. Order Cancellations
Before shipment: Full refund is available.
After shipment: Orders cannot be canceled; follow the return policy.
In-transit cancellation: Subject to restocking and return shipping fees.
8. Warranty
Furniture of California offers a one-year limited warranty for normal residential use, covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Excludes:
Normal wear and tear
Scratches, stains, or minor cosmetic imperfections
Improper assembly or handling
Pet damage or commercial use
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
Verify measurements and doorway/stair clearance
Ensure safe delivery access
Inspect items at delivery
Furniture of California is not responsible for items that cannot be delivered due to access restrictions or incorrect measurements.
